Spring 2019 Recruitment:
ALPHA beta class
Interested in becoming a member of Delta Kappa Delta or just learning more about our sisterhood? Contact our Recruitment & Association Chair (Saniya Jiwani) at , or our Recruitment & Association Aide Chair (Sandhra Sushilkumar) at 469-438-9749.
We can't wait to meet you!
How does it work?
Our process is a little different than panhellenic sororities. All you need to do in order to join DKD is attend at least 2/3rds of the events hosted during recruitment. This 2-week-long event is meant for potential recruits to get a glimpse of what being a sister in Delta Kappa Delta would be like: it is chance for girls to meet sisters, learn about our service and philanthropy, and to see how we interact with other organizations, both Greek and non-Greek. After recruitment, an interview will take place and the most promising girls will receive a bid. If this bid is accepted, the official Association Process will begin.
We would like to highlight that we refrain from using the word "rush" to describe the recruitment process or a recruit herself. Later on, you will see that we also do not use the word "pledge" to describe a lady who is in the process of becoming a sister of DKD. The reason we avoid these words is to refrain from being associated with any type of hazing. Similar to our alcohol policy, this is against our beliefs and we want to make that clear to others.
